Cambodia’s General Election preliminary results announced

The National Election Commission (NEC) of Cambodia on Saturday announced the results of its 6th National Assembly election.

The Commission said more than 83% of Cambodian voters cast their ballots in last month’s election. The Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) won an overwhelming victory with 4.9 million votes, followed by the Funcinpec, the League for Democracy Party (LDP), and the Khmer Will Party (KWP).

The NEC said the involved parties have the right to complain about part or all of this preliminary result within 72 hours from 7am on Saturday. If there is no complaint, the official results will be announced on Wednesday.
