NA Chairwoman calls to develop Phong Dien into fruit growing area

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has called for efforts to develop Phong Dien district into a famous fruit growing area, and boost local eco-tourism.

At a meeting with voters in Can Tho city, on Friday, Ms. Ngan agreed with voters on the need to formulate a coordinated set of criteria for an eco-urban area. She also highlighted the National Assembly’s resolve to deal with fake drugs and counterfeits, saying the Criminal Code stipulates punishments of fake goods producers and smugglers. She answered voters’ questions on raising pensions and wages for kindergarten teachers.

Afterwards, the top legislator met voters in Ninh Kieu district.
