DONG Energy and Global Infrastructure Partners to form 50/50 partnership to build German offshore wind farm Borkum Riffgrund 2

New York, Aug. 07, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — DONG Energy, one of Northern Europe‚Äôs leading energy groups, and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a leading independent global infrastructure investor, jointly announced today that Global Infrastructure Partners III (GIP III), a fund managed by GIP, has entered into an agreement to acquire a 50% stake in the Borkum Riffgrund 2 Offshore Wind Farm project from DONG Energy for a total consideration of approximately EUR 1,170 million.

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho on Monday stressed that North Korea is a responsible nuclear power and intercontinental ballistic missile state.

Ri told the ASEAN Regional Forum in the Philippines that Pyongyang has no intention to use nuclear weapons or threaten with nuclear weapons against any other country except the US, unless it joins a military action by the US against North Korea.…

Japan sees escalating security threat from North Korea

Japan released its annual Defense White Paper on Tuesday, saying it faces an increasing threat from North Korea’s development of long range ballistic missiles.

The paper said North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs have reached “a new level of threat” to Japan and the international community while last year’s white paper said they posed “serious and imminent threats.”

The Defense Ministry expressed strong concerns over maritime assertiveness in the East China Sea.…
