BITTECH Offers Two Crypto Mining Machine, Equipped with Mining Chips Using a Cutting-Edge 10 nm Process Technology

HONG KONG, Aug. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BITTECH Limited starts selling a new range of cryptocurrency mining hardware powered by 10 nm semiconductor chips (10 nm BT0010a and BT0010La mining chips). A new range of mining hardware includes two models:

  1. Bittech One Mini is a 10nm-based ASIC for private mining. ASIC is  characterized by compact sizes, SHA-256-based 16TH/s hashing power, and 1150W power consumption. Retail price will make $880, including power supply unit. Pre-ordered mining hardware will be delivered as early as mid-September 15-25.
  2. Bittech L-One  is a new Scrypt-based solution for cryptocurrency mining (like LiteCoin). This is a 10nm BT0010La-based mining hardware with the hashing power of 2.3GH/s and energy consumption of 2600W. The miner is priced at $1970, including the power supply unit. Pre-ordered mining hardware will be delivered as early as mid-September 15-25.

BITTECH’s mining hardware based on advanced 10nm semiconductor chips is an “all-in-one” solution with Murata/Artesyn inbuilt power supply units, supporting hot replacement. Even a newbie can set up its unsophisticated and user-friendly software. All miners are covered by 180-days warranty.

BITTECH Limited was engaged in R&D with regard to 10 and 14nm advanced chips since early 2017. At the moment, the company has finished its R&D and offered own mining hardware to a wide range of customers. Aside from miners and chips, the company is going to establish four large data centers in Canada, Iceland, Estonia, and Russia. It has started the construction of Russia’s data center for 9000 miners with the total processing power of 21MW in April 2018. The company will lease a part of premises to its customers under colocation agreements.

WillScot Announces Completion of $300 Million Senior Secured Notes Offering

BALTIMORE, Aug. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — WillScot Corporation (Nasdaq: WSC) (“WillScot”), a specialty rental services market leader providing innovative modular space and portable storage solutions across North America, today announced that its indirect subsidiary Mason Finance Sub, Inc. (“Issuer”) completed its offering of $300 million in aggregate principal amount of 6.875% senior secured notes due 2023 (the “Notes”). WillScot intends to use the offering proceeds, together with funds from other sources, to finance its acquisition of Modular Space Holdings, Inc. (the “ModSpace Acquisition”) and to pay related fees and expenses.

The Issuer, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Williams Scotsman International, Inc. (“WSII”), was formed to issue notes to help finance the ModSpace Acquisition. The initial purchasers deposited the gross offering proceeds into an escrow account. Upon consummation of the ModSpace Acquisition and the satisfaction of other conditions, the escrowed proceeds will be released to fund the cash consideration payable by WSII in the ModSpace Acquisition and to pay related fees and expenses. Upon the closing of the ModSpace Acquisition, the Issuer will also merge with and into WSII, with WSII continuing as the surviving corporation, and WSII will assume the obligations of the Issuer under the Notes and the indenture governing the Notes. If the ModSpace Acquisition is not completed by a specified date or certain other events occur, the Notes will be subject to a special mandatory redemption.

Tokyo 2020 Olympics tightens security with facial recognition system

Japanese telecommunications and information technology giant NEC has announced that it will be providing a large-scale facial recognition system for the 2020 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

The system, the first of its kind to be implemented at an Olympics, using IC chips embedded within identification cards, to automatically verify the identity of officials and athletes entering over 40 venues. More than 300,000 athletes and Games staff will have to submit photographs to a database before the Olympics begin in July 2020. The system will not be aimed at spectators and will instead concentrate on strengthening security and decreasing waiting times for athletes.

Laos suspends hydroelectricity projects under MoU, PDA

The Lao Government has decided to halt the implementation of all hydropower projects on which Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and Project Development Assistance (PDA) contracts were already signed for further assessment and revision.

The information was unveiled by Lao Minister of Energy and Mines Khammany Inthirath at a press conference on Tuesday, to update on the flooding and recovery progress following the collapse of the Sepien-Senamnoi hydroelectricity dam in Attapeu province.

The dam burst on July 23, flooding 10 villages in downstream areas and completely isolating Sanamxay district, where it is located. The collapse has affected more than 1,300 families with 6,600 people and many others have been reported missing.

Vietnam contributes to diversity of International Law Commission

Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thao, who was elected Second Vice Chairman of the ILC at this 70th session, made the statement on the sidelines of the event. The ILC scheduled its 70th session at the UN headquarters in New York from April 30 to June 1, and at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 2 to August 10.

Contributing to a report on protecting of the environment from armed conflicts, Vietnam proposed expanding the Occupying State concept to Occupying Power, which includes occupation by international organizations to carry out peacekeeping or security missions. The change was approved by the rapporteur for the report.

Mr Thao said the Vietnam’s participation at the event reflects Vietnam’s policy of being a responsible member of the international community.

Lombok airport crowded with visitors after deadly quake

Lombok International Airport of Indonesia is crowded with tourists who want to leave the island, following an earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale on Sunday.

Agung Sampurno, head of the Mataram Immigration Office, said foreigners with expired visas affected by the earthquake in Lombok will be exempt from the 25 USD per day fine, under Indonesian regulations. Those in need will also receive financial aid, food, drinking water and support to replace papers and passports lost in the earthquake. The immigration department has opened a mobile office at the airport to instruct people, especially foreigners, on various procedures. Some embassies such as those of Australia, France, Singapore and Spain also sent staff in charge of consular affairs to support their citizens.

According to the Mataram Immigration Office, more than 13,000 foreigners from 74 countries and territories have visited Lombok in recent days, mainly France, Australia, the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

US renewed sanctions against Iran take effect

The first round of renewed US sanctions on Iran has taken effect, prohibiting Iran’s purchase of US dollars and precious metals, aluminum, steel, coal and software.

A second tranche of US sanctions on Iran, set to come into effect in November, targets Iran’s energy sector and petroleum-related transactions, and transactions with the Central Bank of Iran.

Farhan Haq, a UN spokesperson, said on Monday that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres continues to view the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, signed between Iran and the P5+1, as a diplomatic achievement and encourages support from all governments.
