Synergy Dynamics (HK) Limited to Launch Full Warehouse Robotics Suite in 2025

Shenzhen-based warehouse robotics startup Synergy Dynamics (HK) Limited is speeding up its expansion with the goal of launching its full autonomous mobile robotics (AMR) product suite in 2025.

HONG KONG, Nov. 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Synergy Dynamics (HK) Limited, founded in 2013, is developing AMRs to speed up order fulfillment and improve employer performance in warehouses, a market that is anticipated to reach US$41 billion globally by 2027 amid widespread automation.

The company is accelerating the commercialization of its AMRs for deployment, having deployed its present fleet of cutting-edge AMRs and AI-powered software with a select group of distribution facilities across a range of industries in China for testing purposes.

“Our ultimate goal is for our robotics fulfillment suite to be trusted by the world’s biggest names in retail and e-commerce,” said Quan Lan, Chief Executive Officer at Synergy Dynamics (HK) Limited. “We aim to launch our complete AMR solution to meet expansion demand and commercialization, reach new partners, and accelerate our unique product roadmap in 2025.”

Synergy Dynamics (HK) Limited claims its robots, which will include robotic arms and artificial intelligence-powered software to operate them, can be “taught” to select and pack millions of unique items while adapting to vastly differing package sizes at speed. And while the company currently bases its technology around AI and computer vision to identify items and read codes, over time, it is likely that it will also incorporate other types of innovative technology, such as radio-wave scanning, to identify objects.

“We are engineering a suite of AMRs that can safely work alongside humans and collaborate with them rather than replace them. As a result, our customers will have a convenient solution with the ideal mix of power and flexibility to handle diverse product inventories, volume, and fulfillment needs,” said Stephen Lei, Chief Technology Officer at Synergy Dynamics (HK) Limited.

With AMRs already surpassing AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) in terms of units shipped and worldwide revenue in 2022, the gap is anticipated to widen over the coming years. Synergy Dynamics (HK) Limited looks to establish itself as a global leader in its field and compete in today’s age of immediacy, where customers expect their orders to arrive on the same day.

Chain Pharmaceuticals GmbH Announces Its Phytocannabinoid Drug Discovery Platform

Company Will Pursue Drug Discovery of Market-Authorized, Finished Pharmaceuticals that Address Demand for Personalized Therapies

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, Germany, Nov. 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Dr. Pierre Debs, Ph.D. announced today the launch of Chain Pharmaceuticals GmbH, a phytocannabinoid drug discovery company leveraging machine learning and real world medical data in the development of clinically proven plant-based medicines for market authorization. Bringing together pharmaceutical, medical, cannabis and digital experts, Chain Pharmaceuticals brings a unique platform and process to expedite the process of design and execution of clinical trials for cannabis based molecules, without waiting 10 years and at enormous cost. Chain Pharmaceuticals will release a series of unique and differentiated solventless extract-based products for the current regulations throughout the European Union in the coming year. Chain extracts are designed with a purpose and play an integral role in tracking efficacy and patient usage outcomes.

The Chain Pharmaceuticals ecosystem is driven by five major trends shaping the future of medicine:

  1. The power of machine learning, artificial intelligence and in silico modeling to expedite and reduce the cost of drug discovery
  2. The ability of blockchain to facilitate data-gathering and patient engagement
  3. Harnessing the power of real world, evidence based data in the design of health care therapies
  4. Increased desire for and expanded use of plant-based pharmaceuticals
  5. The advances and momentum in personalized medicine as a leading paradigm in health care

“Our core energies are focused on bringing plant-based pharmaceutical products to the market in an expedited time frame with higher efficiencies, less up-front costs, longer-term equitable returns, and in a sustainable manner. Clinically proven market authorized medications are sine qua non for long-term demands of all stake-holders throughout European healthcare systems,” explains Dr. Pierre Debs, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chain Pharmaceuticals GmbH.

Co-Founder and CIO Dr. Pavel Kubů, MD explains, “Decentralized and personalized phytocannabinoid-based healthcare solutions require GDPR compliant, transparent, rapid, targeted data acquisition and analysis. Our HealChain App is the synergistic meeting point for data from real world usage, continually updated cannabis patient usage and a broad palate of machine learning driven resources specifically designed for each subscriber.”

Phytocannabinoids: a unique but challenging resource
Cannabis’ panoply of hundreds of natural pharmaceutical active ingredients makes it a unique resource for research and development. Virtually non-toxic and devoid of serious side effects, in a controlled medical environment, the plant is an ideal starting material for personalized medicines. However, cannabinoid-based drug development has been a challenge as it does not fit neatly into the standard paradigm for market authorization if one considers more than a single molecule for a single medication. Meanwhile, different patients use different whole-cannabis products for the same indication, or the same product for multiple indications. Health care providers need to work with over 200+ varieties of generic cannabis products on the market with relatively little pharmacological justification other than it has THC and seems to work, and only 3 market authorized products.

Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence for modern, rapid drug discovery
Chain Pharmaceuticals will overcome these hurdles and capture the current market opportunities around phytocannabinoids by leveraging machine learning, artificial intelligence and in silico modeling to expedite the design and execution of a portfolio of clinical trials. By rationalizing established anecdotal evidence, utilizing real world data and other inputs to feed a machine learning platform, Chain Pharmaceuticals’ model will drive fast, efficient phytocannabinoid compound identification and the related targetable clinical indications. “We started our discovery pipeline last year, targeting four indications and one bio-medical product, and have progressed through the mid-stages of in silico discovery – once the real world data is infused, we anticipate several exciting outcomes,” said Debs.

Leadership and partnerships in place
Chain Pharmaceuticals’ leadership team has extensive experience in drug development and clinical trials. Dr. Pierre Debs has over twenty years of experience in stem cell research and opened the European market, in particular Germany, for import and distribution licenses for Canadian cannabis flower. Joining Dr. Debs on the Chain Pharmaceuticals’ executive team and as co-founder is medical informatics and addictology expert Dr. Pavel Kubů, MD, formerly of the Intel Corporation and Founding CEO of the International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute in Prague; Dr. Martin Votava, MD, Ph.D., a pharmacology, regulatory science and pharmacovigilance expert who has held positions at EMA’s scientific committee CHMP, PrimeVigilance and associate professor of pharmacology at Charles University’s Medical school in Prague; Dr. Daniel Smutek, MD, Ph.D., MSc., also of Charles University and the former Senior Medical Director of PAREXEL.

The Company also has powerful strategic partnerships in place, including with Innoplexus AG as its exclusive machine learning/AI provider for rationalizing petabytes of existing scientific and medical data as well as real world usage data in the phytocannabinoid drug discovery process. Chain Pharmaceuticals’ patient data-gathering app, HealChain, is designed with Innoplexus’ app and its capabilities of data extraction with AI algorithms. It will accelerate its own research and insights, and utilize existing research and anecdotal evidence through an established Innoplexus-driven machine learning system custom built for drug discovery that will regularly update, test and refine insights on compounds with a high likelihood of efficacy.

HealChain, which will launch in the coming months, will serve as one of the feeds for the machine learning systems by incentivizing medical cannabis patients to share data for the design of clinical trials with patients owning and licensing their anonymized data. The HealChain app is a joint venture between Chain Pharmaceuticals and Innoplexus, based on the latter’s Curia and Neuria apps.

About Chain Pharmaceuticals GmbH:
Chain Pharmaceuticals GmbH is a German-based drug discovery company using real world data, machine-learning and artificial intelligence to rapidly design and execute clinical trials leading to market-authorized phytocannabinoid products. Founded in 2021, Chain Pharmaceuticals’ directive is to be a leader in decentralized and personalized phytocannabinoid-based healthcare solutions through development of an innovative portfolio of plant based-pharmaceutical products. The company’s app, HealChain, employs blockchain technology and tokenization to engage and incentivize patients to share their personal health data while retaining ownership and control. This patient-staked approach and involvement ensures transparency in clinical trial design and execution. To learn more, please visit www.chainpharmaceuticals.com.

About Dr. Pierre Debs
Dr. Debs co-founded MedCann GmbH, a German federally-licensed importer, manufacturer and distributor of medical cannabis products, in 2015, and was the first company in Europe/Germany to import and distribute Canadian medical cannabis flowers. He has over twenty years’ experience in stem cell research, including endocannabinoid system function. Along with his MedCann co-founder, Dr. Debs opened the current medical market in Germany in particular, but with immediate impact throughout Europe; and beat other established companies to obtain the first import license for Canadian flower.

Presagis Launches Cloud-Based VELOCITY 5D Digital Twin Production Platform

Fast, Scalable, Realistic

MONTREAL, Nov. 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Presagis, a global leader in 3D advanced modelling and simulation software, has officially launched its VELOCITY 5D (V5D) cloud-based platform that quickly and automatically converts massive volumes of 2D geospatial data into high-fidelity 3D digital twins. V5D leverages artificial intelligence and game engine technology to run complex visualization and simulation scenarios that derive context from the digital twins.

“The speed, realism, and scalability of V5D for digital twin generation are unmatched in the geospatial industry,” said Jean-Michel Briere, President of Presagis. “V5D can generate a highly detailed nation-wide digital twin from country-sized GIS data sets in hours, not days, and allow users to immediately simulate a variety of planning and mapping situations.”

With no geospatial data processing expertise, V5D users can easily produce accurate digital twins from multiple 2D data sets, including GIS vector layers, remote sensing imagery, and other structured and unstructured data of any size, format, or type. V5D allows users to perform live editing of the digital twin and provides built-in libraries of features and building templates to populate the 3D visualization with people, vehicles, trees, structures, and other objects, making it possible to model both real and hypothetical scenarios.

“V5D expands the digital twin beyond the dimensions of area, space, and time to include context (the fifth dimension (5D)),” said Briere. “This empowers users to better interpret the dynamic world around them, model for future situations, and make improved decisions by visualizing and prioritizing conditions, challenges, and risks in real time.”

Context is the key to location intelligence because it reveals patterns of life, human interactions, crowd behaviors, vehicle traffic movement, and other relationships. These can be identified and understood with V5D in a wide range of application areas, such as Smart City Management, Large Area Mapping, Defense, Infrastructure/Utility Security, Asset Tracking, Disaster Preparedness, and Urban Planning.

The V5D game engine and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities set it apart from other digital twin technologies. The game engine allows for pixel streaming of data, as opposed to tile streaming, which means the information content of individual pixels from the original data set is preserved, resulting in a much more realistic and detail-rich 3D environment. Embedded AI automates the recognition and extraction of objects for faster analysis and change detection workflows.

V5D offers the flexibility to integrate the created 3D virtual environment with nearly any database, data vendor API, or third-party simulation software. Additionally, the Presagis cloud platform lets customers publish the digital twins for easy access and collaboration across the enterprise and among multiple organizations.

“With V5D, we strive to make complexity look simpler and more understandable for the end user,” said Briere. “3D mapping provides a window to represent and navigate convoluted 2D data sets and concepts, bringing clarity and a realistic perspective to decision making at all levels.”

Nitto ATP Finals, an opportunity for Turin and Piedmont to promote the region and the many travel experiences it can offer

Nitto ATP Finals, an opportunity for Turin and Piedmont to promote the region and the many travel experiences it can offer

It is one of the most important tournaments in men’s tennis, with the eight best singles players and the eight best doubles pairs competing every year for the last title of the season.

TURIN, Italy, Nov. 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Great tennis returns to Turin and Piedmont. From 13 to 20 November, the Pala Alpitour, the largest indoor sports arena in Italy, will host the second edition of the Nitto ATP Finals, organised by the FIT (Italian Tennis Federation) and the ATP (Association of Professional Tennis Players).

It is one of the most important tournaments in men’s tennis, with the eight best singles players and the eight best doubles pairs competing every year for the last title of the season: Turin is the fifteenth city to host the event, which from 2009 to 2020 was held in London and since last autumn has landed in the Piedmontese capital to remain there until 2025.

The important event represents a great opportunity not only for all tennis fans but also for journalists, artists and tourists, who can enjoy many valuable experiences in Piedmont at this time, such as taking part in the International Fair of the White Truffle of Alba, which is being held in Alba and the surrounding area from 8 October to 4 December in the hills of the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero. However, these days it is above all sport lovers who feel at home in Piedmont, thanks to a mix of outdoor activities, genuine gastronomy and itineraries suitable for families and experts.

Piedmont features peaks over 4,000 metres in the Italian Western Alps, including Monte Rosa, the second highest mountain in Europe, Monviso and the Gran Paradiso massif. It is possible to enjoy hiking, cycling or horseback riding along the 16,000 km of hiking trails in natural landscapes, which include an extensive system of 95 protected areas and nature reserves.

In winter, with over 50 ski resorts, 1,350 km of ski slopes, 14 snow parks and over 300 ski lifts, cable cars and chairlifts, Piedmont is synonymous with alpine tourism, sport and recreation, accessible to all. And when the snow gives way to fine weather, a green paradise with breathtaking views arouses the desire for pure air, wellness and sport, but also to taste Alpine delicacies in typical restaurants and mountain refuges.

By bicycle, it is possible to reach villages and hills between Lake Maggiore and Orta, along itineraries that weave together nature, history and art; between Novara and Vercelli on the flat stretches along the rice fields, or between Asti and Alessandria, in landscapes interwoven with castles, abbeys, spas and beautiful UNESCO heritage wine hills.

Among water sports, in Piedmont, you can try your hand at canoeing, sailing and windsurfing in hundreds of alpine lakes, streams and torrents, or dedicate yourself to rowing and paddle down the Po River in the Turin section, on whose banks the oldest rowing clubs in Italy can be found.
