The incident occurred at around 9:00 PM on Khlong 15 Road, Middle Line, Village 1, Chumphon Subdistrict, Ongkharak District, Nakhon Nayok Province. The deceased was Mr. Aphisit, aged 27, lying face down near a motorcycle that had fallen on its side. A large peacock tree branch was leaning against the body of the motorcycle. Officials assumed that the deceased was riding past on his motorcycle and happened to be riding the peacock tree when it broke and fell on him.

The younger sister of the deceased, who traveled to the scene after receiving the report, said that her brother had previously gone out to change the engine oil and returned home before coming out again.
