Belgian prosecutor calls for 20-year sentence for Paris suspect

The Belgian prosecutors on Monday called for a 20-year prison sentence, including 13 years without remission, for Salah Abdeslam and Sofien Ayari, two accused terrorists.

Salah Abdeslam, alleged to be the only surviving member of a terror group responsible for attacks in Paris in 2015, was arrested in March 2016 after a shootout with the police in Brussels. 130 people were killed in the Paris attacks. The trial will take place from Monday to Thursday in Brussels.
