Expressway Authority of Thailand exempts toll fees on 3 expressways on October 13, 2024

Suriya' is concerned about people's travel, so the Expressway Authority of Thailand will waive toll fees on 3 expressways on 13 October 2024 to reduce the burden of travel expenses for our fellow citizens. Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, revealed that he has ordered agencies under the Ministry of Transport to prepare to facilitate the safety of people traveling during the long holiday from October 12-14, which is expected to see a large number of people traveling back to their hometowns and traveling. Therefore, in order to help reduce the burden of travel expenses for people, the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) has been assigned to waive expressway toll fees on Sunday, October 13, 2024, on the occasion of King Bhumibol Adulyadej Memorial Day or the anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great for 1 day, 3 routes, totaling 61 toll booths, as follows: Chalerm Mahanakhon Expressway (Expressway No. 1) 20 toll booths, Si Rat Expressway (Expressway No. 2) 31 toll booths, and Udon Ratthaya Expressway (Bang Pa-in - Pak Kret) 10 toll booths. This toll exemption is in accordance with the government and Ministry of Transport policies, which appear in the amended concession agreement between the Expressway Authority of Thailand, Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), and Northern Bangkok Expressway Company Limited (NECL) to facilitate people's travel during holidays and help reduce their expenses, as well as help reduce traffic congestion in front of toll booths.
