G20 members pledge to boost growth

The G20 Meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors closed on Tuesday in Argentina, issuing a joint communique.

The participating finance ministers, central bank governors, and international organization leaders said that it’s time to take action to address structural growth impediments, rebuild buffers, reduce excessive global imbalances, and mitigate risks.

Attendees expressed their concerns about protectionism and discussed a global economic system based on international standards. The joint communique showed the determination of G20 members to work for an equitable international tax system, consumer and investor protection, and market integrity, and combat tax evasion, money laundering, and terrorism financing.
