Leaders pay Tet visits to localities

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Hung Yen Province delivered Tet gifts to 150 workers and poor households in Van Lam district, Hung Yen Province on Tuesday. The delegation was led by Minister of Public Security To Lam.

On the same day, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man visited and presented Tet gifts to poor households and policy beneficiaries in Can Tho city. He urged local authorities to take good care of their residents by creating jobs for demobilized soldiers and creating favorable conditions for others to engage in production.

Honourary Consul of the South Africa Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City, Do Thi Kim Lien and local youngsters participated in a programme to make Chung or square sticky rice cakes for disadvantaged people to enjoy the Lunar New Year. 2,000 cakes will be boiled and handed to poor and homeless people as well as needy children.

Dak Nong province have prepared 67.000 sets of Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people.
