North Korea threatens to withdraw from Winter Olympics

North Korea is threatening to abandon its promise to participate in the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, next month.

The North criticized South Korean President Moon Jae-in for crediting US President Donald Trump with opening inter-Korean negotiations. North Korea boycotted the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.

South Korea’s Unification Ministry said on Sunday that the two Koreas would hold talks on Monday to discuss the North’s plan to send an art troupe to the South during next month’s Olympics.
