PM directs search for missing flood victims in Lao Cai province

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh joined a field inspection in Nu village, the northern province of Lao Cai’s Bao Yen district on September 12. He directed the efforts to search and rescue victims of the severe flash flood and landslide in Nu village and gave encouragement to victims’ families.

As of 9:25 a.m. on September 12, the death toll in the disaster is 46, the number of injured is 17; 55 people are still missing, while 46 people have been confirmed safe.
