PM hosts banquet for GMS6 – CLV10 delegates

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his spouse hosted a banquet on Friday evening in Hanoi for delegates attending the sixth Greater Mekong Sub-region Summit (GMS-6) and the 10th Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle Summit (CLV-10).

In his welcoming address, Mr. Phuc underscored the importance of rivers in the history of human development. Major rivers in the region, including the Yangtze, Ganges, Mekong-Lancang, Red, Irrawaddy, and Chao Phraya, have created livelihoods for people living along them, connecting cultures and boosting trades among communities and regions. He asked member countries of the Great Mekong Sub-region to enhance efforts to ensure peace and boost cooperation development for the sub-region’s sustainable prosperity.
