President calls for better care of children

President Tran Dai Quang has said the Party, State, and people of Vietnam have high hopes and expectations for children, who will follow the predecessors’ footsteps to become the future masters of the country and contribute to national prosperity.

Mr. Quang made the statement on Friday, at the 3rd national festival of outstanding leaders of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization. President Quang called on the Youth Union to actively consult with the Party, State, and governments at various levels to adopt policies on promoting children’s voices and aspiration. He said: I ask Party Committees and government at all levels to work harder in child care, protection, and education, and disseminating laws and policies related to children. Facilities like schools, children’s houses, and recreational centers should be built and upgrade for children to play, study, and develop comprehensively. Special attention should be paid to children of war invalids and families of martyrs and revolutionary contributors, children in mountainous, island, and remote areas as well as those in disadvantaged circumstances. Violations of child-related laws should be prevented or strictly dealt with.

President Quang said he hopes that young pioneers will continue improving their learning performance, actively participating in organization and social activities, and gaining more achievements to contribute to national development.
