Prime Minister inspects combat readiness of Dak Nong armed forces

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made an inspection tour of Dak Nong provincial border guards and police forces on Friday

He applauded their plan to ensure security in border areas during Lunar New year holiday. PM Phuc said Dak Nong has 130km of border with Cambodia and that local people’s living standards remain low. He called on the border guards to be vigilant and ready to cope with any unexpected incidents. The PM asked for improvement of combat readiness to protect national sovereignty and participation in socio-economic development activities.

Mr. Phuc urged Dak Nong border guards to build a stronger and more competent force, who is closer to the people and determined to safeguard the fatherland.

Later on, the Prime Minister inspected combat readiness of the police force in Dak Nong. Acknowledging their effort in fulfilling the task of safeguarding security, he urged local police to continue crackdowns on cross-border crimes and poachers, and create a favorable environment for investment.
