Quang Binh: Representatives from the central province of Quang Binh and Savannakhet province of Laos on December 5 met to discuss and sign a memorandum of cooperation for border protection for 2025. The event saw the participation of Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Doan Ngoc Lam, and Savannakhet’s Deputy Governor, Ling Thong Sengtavan.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two provinces to ensure effective border management and security. The memorandum outlines various initiatives aimed at strengthening communication and coordination between border authorities to prevent illegal activities and enhance mutual understanding. The signing of this agreement marks a significant step towards bolstering the longstanding partnership between Quang Binh and Savannakhet, with both parties expressing commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
