South Korea to reform presidential office

South Korean President Park Geun-hye on Sunday reformed her presidential office, following her recent scandal of letting a close friend interfere in state affairs.

She accepted the resignations of 5 top presidential aides, including the chief of staff, and senior secretaries for policy coordination, political affairs, civil affairs, and public relations. Also on Sunday, Park promoted former prosecutor Choi Jai-kyeong as Senior Secretary for civil affairs, and former National Assembly spokesman Bae Sung-rye as Chief Secretary for public affairs.
