South Korean President may meet North Korea’s parliamentary leader

South Korean President Moon Jae-in is considering a one-on-one meeting with top North Korean official Kim Yong Nam, who is scheduled to lead a high-level delegation to attend the PyeongChang Winter Olympics this week.

North Korea on Monday confirmed Kim, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, will visit the South to attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, which begins on Friday. But other sources from the presidential office said there is something that should be discussed with the North’s advance delegation on whether Kim will separately meet President Moon.
