Thai-Chinese private sector fosters trade relations through platform

Three organizations have set up a mechanism to coordinate and promote Thai-Chinese businesses, connecting investment with technology and opening a trade platform between the two countries, reducing concerns and obstacles that businesses in both countries face. Mr. Poj Aramwattananon, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and representative of the mechanism for coordinating and promoting sustainable Thai-Chinese businesses, said at the press conference on the cooperation between the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Chinese Enterprise Trade Association that the trade relations between Thailand and China are not only historically significant, but are also an important driving force for the continuous growth of the Thai and Chinese economies. The joint establishment of the 'mechanism for coordinating and promoting sustainable Thai-Chinese businesses' aims to build confidence in the Thai and Chinese private sectors to jointly devel op sustainable business relations through 9 action plans, such as publicizing reliable economic and trade information through various platforms to enhance Thai society's understanding of Thai-Chinese relations, organizing Supplies Matching events and trade fairs to increase opportunities for cooperation in various industries such as 5G, e-commerce, and logistics, promoting cooperation in new industries such as the electric vehicle industry, providing business consulting services to support efficient business operations between the two countries, and encouraging businesses in both countries to strictly comply with international laws and regulations. 'The mechanism for coordinating and promoting sustainable Thai-Chinese businesses will be a key channel to drive economic cooperation between Thailand and China. We hope that it can help reduce concerns and obstacles that businesses in both countries face, and it is also a good opportunity to expand cooperation to new industries that will help strengthen the econo mies of both countries,' said Mr. Poj. Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand, said that China is Thailand's number one trading partner and plays an important role as a brother who helps and relies on each other in economic, social, and cultural aspects. The Chamber of Commerce is a private sector organization in Thailand with a network of over 156,000 members nationwide. Modern trade, especially E-Commerce, plays an important role in driving the economies of both countries. China is a good model that can create strength in the manufacturing sector and supply chain. Therefore, China's investment in Thailand is an important opportunity for China to help Thailand leverage its potential from Chinese technology and innovation.
