Vietnam attends first congress of Italian Communist Party

A Vietnamese delegation led by Cao Chi Thien, Ambassador to Italy and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s organization in Italy, attended the first congress of the Italian Communist Party (PCI) in the city of Orvieto last weekend.

At the opening ceremony, Ambassador Thien noted with pleasure the steadily developing friendship and brotherhood between the PCI and the CPV and expressed his hope that the relationship will continue to flourish.

Mauro Alboresi was elected General Secretary of the PCI at the event.
