Xang Khan festival of the Thai recognized national intangible cultural heritage

A spring festival and a ceremony to announce Xang Khan festival of the Thai as a national intangible cultural heritage took place in Que Phong district, Nghe An province on Saturday.

In his address, Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee Le Minh Thong said Xang Khan is a unique folk religious festival of the Thai which needs further preservation and promotion. He said the festival is a heritage and a reflection of the culture of the Thai ethnic minority in Nghe An.
