Arresting a criminal who cut electrical wires before turning into a big drug dealer

Metropolitan Police detectives arrested a criminal who cut electrical wires before turning into a drug dealer in the Prawet area. In the end, he was arrested after undergoing surgery on his penis, which resulted in serious injuries from jumping to escape the police.

Metropolitan Police arrested Mr. Thongbai or Suea Air Prawet, age 41, a suspect with 2 arrest warrants, charged with jointly stealing property in a house at night and “possession of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine and crystal meth) for sale”. The arrest was made at a rented room with no number in the middle of Soi Chaloem Phra Kiat 65, Intersection 2, Dok Mai Subdistrict, Prawet District, Bangkok.

With the first arrest warrant for stealing electrical wires on November 26, 2022, the owner of a famous housing project in the Lam Phak Chi area was under a lot of stress because more than 10 houses in the housing project that were about to be completed and ready to be sold to customers were broken into by thieves who cut the electrical wires, c
ausing hundreds of thousands of baht in damages, making it impossible to deliver the houses on time. The investigation identified the perpetrator as Mr. Thongbai, who frequently goes around petty theft in the area. However, when the Min Buri Criminal Court approved the arrest warrant, Mr. Thongbai fled and could not be tracked.

Another arrest warrant for drug use, later on June 12, 2014, after receiving a tip-off from a good citizen that Mr. Thongbai was a big shot distributing drugs to teenagers in the Prawet community, they went to the area to arrest him while he was in his room in the Prawet area of Bangkok. However, Mr. Thongbai was quick to react and jumped from the second floor of his room to escape, leaving his girlfriend to be arrested by the police with evidence of more than 812 methamphetamine pills and more than 6.18 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The girlfriend stated that all of the evidence belonged to Mr. Thongbai, so the investigator gathered evidence to apply for an arrest warrant.

The p
olice then tracked down Mr. Thongbai, the suspect with the arrest warrant, until they received a tip that from jumping from the second floor of the room and hitting the floor to escape the police, Mr. Thongbai was injured and had to undergo surgery at the hospital before fleeing to hide with his new girlfriend in Soi Chaloem Phra Kiat 65. The police therefore went to the area and were able to arrest Mr. Thongbai.

During the arrest, Mr. Thongbai confessed that the theft case in 2022, at that time he was heavily addicted to drugs and had no money to buy. When passing by a new housing estate, he saw that no one was guarding it, so he went to steal and cut electric wires to sell. He cut dozens of strands and got more than 10 kilograms. He sold them for more than 4,000 baht. He used the money to buy drugs and then ran away. Now he is a big drug dealer in the Prawet area. In his daily life, people he knows come to buy drugs from him. At first, he didn’t sell them, but when he saw a way to make money, he bought dru
gs from a man in a community near the garbage dump. His real name is unknown. He then divided them up and sold them to teenagers in the Prawet area. From checking his criminal record, there were 8 cases.
