web DeskPolice have filed six charges against the manager of a massage parlor in Khon Kaen and are working to arrest the owner after he opened a massage parlor as a front, but behind the scenes, he was engaging in prostitution of a 17-year-old Laotian boy for homosexuals.
Khon Kaen Immigration Police, together with Tourist Police and relevant agencies, searched a massage shop in Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Khon Kaen after receiving a complaint through the Damrongtham Center that Lao workers were working in the massage shop to provide sexual services.
Before the arrest, the officers planned for the undercover agent to sit in the shop before meeting a man claiming to be the shop manager. The undercover agent bought the woman for 1,600 baht. Then the undercover agent’s mobile phone had the name “Bancha” texting “Ready, come in.” When the undercover agent got inside, a ladyboy brought photos for the undercover agent to choose from and took him to a room. The arresting officers then stormed into the shop a
nd went up to room number 5 on the second floor, knocked on the door, and when they opened it, they found both men in the room, completely naked.
Expediting the arrest of the owner of the gay massage shop,
Pol. Lt. Col. Soraj Wichayasut, Chief Inspector of the Khon Kaen Immigration Police, revealed that an initial investigation found that the male service provider was a 17-year-old Laotian man who admitted to providing services for over a month and received a 950-baht share. While searching the room, they found equipment, a bottle of massage oil, 2 unopened condoms, 3 condoms in a packet, a roll of tissue paper, a lighter, and the provider received a 650-baht share. It was also discovered that the shop had been secretly providing sexual services for 2 months.
Initially, the officers reported 6 charges against the shop manager for human trafficking, committing the act against a person over 15 but not over 18 years old and procuring the act regardless of whether the person consented or not, participating in
the sexual gratification of another person, participating in the ownership of a prostitution business, being a caretaker or manager of a prostitution business, participating in assisting, facilitating or protecting the prostitution of another person, receiving any form of benefit from prostitution, and jointly hiring foreigners to work without a work permit before taking the suspects to be prosecuted at Khon Kaen City Police Station.
