Launch of the project to help Thai youths become professional golfers

Mazda launched the 'MAZDA US COLLEGE PREP JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 2024' project, a leading international project organized exclusively for Mazda customers and their families, to search for and push Thai youth who love golf to have the opportunity to compete on the world-class competition stage, with a chance to win scholarships to become professional golfers. It also launched 'MAZDA EXCLUSIVE TOURNAMENT 2024', another project organized to provide privileges for the Mazda family to join the fun of playing golf, along with many benefits for customers. Both projects will be held on October 4, 2024 at Alpine Golf Club. The press conference was attended by male and female youths, competition partners, representatives of the Golf Association of Thailand, professional golfers, and honorable guests at Alpine Golf Club in Pathum Thani Province. Mr. Theeraphongsaphan, Vice President of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said that the 'MAZDA US COLLEGE PREP JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 2024' project is a project organized by Mazda in collaboration with partners to provide exclusive privileges to the Mazda family who love golf, giving them the opportunity to follow their dreams and become professional golfers. Applications were opened for 39 young people in July (25 males and 14 females) to join the 'qualifying round' competition, which will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Alpine Golf Club in Pathum Thani Province. The top 16 winners and top performers in each category will qualify for the final round of the 'MAZDA US COLLEGE PREP JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 2024' in November 2024. Importantly, on the day of the competition, coaches from leading universities from the United States will travel to observe each individual's playing skills. Outstanding youths will have the opportunity to receive scholarships to pave the way to becoming professional golfers. In addition, half of the golfers who competed in the CHAMPIONSHIP round with the best performances will be selected to travel to compete in the United States. In additi on to providing opportunities for young people to become world-class professional golfers, Mazda has also launched another special project to provide special privileges specifically for the Mazda family by inviting Mazda car owners and their families to join a round of golf as a group and participate in exclusive activities under the 'MAZDA EXCLUSIVE TOURNAMENT 2024' project. Mazda has opened applications for 46 Mazda car owners, totaling 86 golfers, to join the competition on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Alpine Golf Club in Pathum Thani Province. Since applications were opened in July, more than 100 Mazda car owners have expressed interest in joining this activity, and the names of all those who have passed the selection process to join the competition have already been announced. At the event, Mazda also collaborated with partners including Adidas, Taylormade, Singha Corporation, and AR Company, as well as Pro Praew Phattraporn Sriphatprasit, a Thai female golfer with extraordinary qualifications as the winner of Miss Tourism Thailand 2020, to organize the Mazda Golf Clinic for the youth who attended the press conference, with professional golfers providing knowledge and teaching skills in both driving and putting. In addition, US College provided advice to athletes to provide details about the project, benefits for competitors and winners to enter the JWCI (Junior World Cup Invitational 2025), and provide more information about the 'MAZDA US COLLEGE PREP JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 2024' to prepare for the qualifying round on Friday, October 4, 2024.
