Police shoot wheels to stop maniac driving truck in the middle of the city

Police fired 10 rounds at tires to stop a maniac driving a 6-wheeled vehicle and crashing into cars of locals at the Kluai Nam Thai intersection in the Phra Ram 4 area.

A shocking incident occurred in the middle of the city when a video was recorded showing four police officers and two motorcycles chasing a man driving a six-wheeled truck. The driver appeared to be delirious, driving around the Maleenont Building on Rama IV Road in Khlong Tan Subdistrict, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok, heading towards Phra Khanong Intersection before making a U-turn and driving back towards the Maleenont Building and heading outbound until he got stuck at a red light at Kluai Nam Thai Intersection. The police tried to intercept him by getting on the truck and smashing the windows to stop him, but the driver used a knife to slash him, forcing the police to retreat. Three other police officers then shot at the truck’s tires to stop the vehicle from moving, but the driver tried to squeeze to the right and then left, causing th
e truck to lose control and hit a passenger’s car that was stopped at a red light, damaging it. He then turned right towards the port and is currently in pursuit.

The latest is that officers found a car abandoned on the bank of Bang Nam Chuet Canal, Bang Chalong Subdistrict, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province, but the driver was not found. Officers are rushing to investigate.
