The Ministry of Education has set up a committee to investigate the drama surrounding the examination of teachers at the Sa Kaeo Secondary Educational Service Area Office.

MOE spokesperson explains drama over teacher investigation at Sa Kaeo Secondary Educational Service Area Office, sets up a detailed investigation committee, confirms MOE is ready to compensate victims, and provide fairness to all parties.

Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Assistant Minister of Education and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, disclosed the doubts regarding the civil service examination for the position of teacher under the Office of the Secondary Education Area (SEA) of Sa Kaeo Province. The incident occurred when a candidate whose name was ranked number 1 in the first announcement of the results (9 Sep 67) did not appear on the list when the new results were announced (12 Sep 67), causing him to not be appointed as a teacher in the same order as before.

Mr. Siripong revealed that Pol. Gen. Phermpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, and Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Deputy Minister of Education, have urged that the investigation into the matter be straightforward, without protecting any
one, and that the principle of fairness for all parties be strictly adhered to. They also emphasized their intention to solve the problem seriously.

The Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) has now set up a fact-finding committee to consider and examine all relevant issues. Please do not rush to conclude that there has been any interference or corruption in the announcement of the new round of names. As for the doubts about the last name of the examinee matching the last name of the school director in a nearby province, this may not be related to this examination since it is in a different area. Please trust the investigation process of the investigation committee.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that it will work transparently. If any wrongdoing or corruption is found, those involved will be severely punished according to the relevant laws and regulations.
