The most amazing recycled evening gowns, beautiful for only a hundred baht

A brilliant idea by a Mathayom 3 student in Chaiyaphum who used leftover materials to create an evening gown to enter a school competition. The entire gown cost only 100 baht, but it was beautiful and more than worth the price.

This great idea belongs to Atiruj Hanchan, a Mathayom 3 student at Muang Phaya Lae Witthaya School, Muang District, Chaiyaphum Province, who, together with his friends, brought leftover items to decorate into a beautiful evening gown to enter in the school’s recycled dress competition, under the theme “Use unused items to create items.” In addition to encouraging students to be creative, it also helps preserve the environment by bringing leftover items back to use.

Nong Atiruj said that this outfit was inspired by peacocks in Lopburi Province. The materials used to create it were found around her. The fabric was from her mother’s old clothes, and the cardboard was from the teacher’s room. The chest was made from an old hat that her grandfather was about to throw away. Bottle caps we
re collected from around the house. The gems on the body were leftover from her art work. The whole outfit cost only about 100 baht for the glue.
