The only one in the world, Lord Brahma Vessuwan, 9 faces, 8 arms

The only one in the world, found the Maha Brahma Vessuwanno, a combined edition, 9 pages, 8 arms, bringing luck in Korat.

At Wat Sap Takhro Traisiri Mongkhon, Tambon Thai Charoen, Amphoe Nong Bun Mak, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, a statue of Thao Wessuwan was built, which has a unique appearance. The creator, Phra Ajarn Wannachai Wannako, or as the locals know him as ‘Luang Kru A,’ said that ‘this statue of Thao Wessuwan is called ‘Thao Maha Phrom Wessuwanno.’ It is likely to be the only one in the world that has a similar appearance to the Thao Wessuwan commonly seen, but it has 9 faces, 8 arms, and 8 hands. Two arms hold a club supporting the ground, and the other 6 arms and 6 hands hold weapons, including a trident, a wheel, a bow, arrows, a spear, and a serpent. There are 4 large faces facing the 4 main directions, and on top of the head there are 4 smaller faces facing the 4 secondary directions. The topmost face faces the front. At present, ‘Thao Maha Phrom Wessuwanno’ is highly revered by people, even
though it has only been in the process of being built for about 3 months.

Phra Ajarn Wannachai Wannako or Luang Kru Ae, who moved from Tung Pong Charoentham Monastery in Lopburi Province to reside at Wat Sap Takhro and was the creator of ‘Thao Maha Phrom Wessuwanno,’ said that the creation of Thao Maha Phrom Wessuwanno was a strategy to make relatives and devotees who come to pay homage aware of the sacred things that surround us in all 4 directions. Having 8 arms and holding weapons is to eliminate enemies and demons, as well as to support and protect those who pay homage. Another thing is that the 4 large faces face the 4 major directions: east, west, north, and south, while the other 4 small faces face the 4 secondary directions: northeast, southeast, northwest, and southwest. This is because most of the 8 directions are taken care of by Thao Wessuwan, so all 8 Thao Wessuwanno were combined into one statue so that relatives and devotees who come to pay homage and ask for blessings from all 8 directions ca
n do so simultaneously.

As for the name Mahaphrom, ‘Maha’ means great, ‘Brahm’ means protection, so it is called ‘Thao Mahaphrom Wessuwanno’ to make those who come to pay homage to him be careful in their lives, looking at everything around them like the Lord Mahaphrom Wessuwanno who exists in all 8 directions.

Mr. Chamnan Mungyotklang, 60 years old, a villager from Sap Takhro, said that since the construction of this statue of Thao Maha Phrom Wessuwan, only about 3 months ago, many people have come to pay homage and worship, and have gotten a lot of luck from gambling.
