Warning about Chinese grey market using technology to cut car remote lock signals

Warning to car owners: Be careful of a group of Chinese criminals using technology to cut off car remote lock signals, but luckily this time the police were able to arrest them.

The Chinese gang split up their tasks. One of them pretended to be talking on the phone in the parking lot and locked onto the target. When the victim got out of the car and pressed the remote control to lock it, the perpetrator would send a signal from the jamming device to cut off the remote control signal, causing the car door to be unlocked immediately without the victim knowing. When the victim walked away from the car, the other perpetrator would try to open the car door to steal the property. This time, the perpetrator was seen trying to open 2 car doors but was unsuccessful. The incident took place at the motorway rest stop in Khao Din Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) immediately showed themselves and arrested the perpetrators, Mr. ZHANGJIN, 38 years old, Chine
se nationality, and Mr. ZHENGHONG, 31 years old. The police charged them with ‘jointly attempting to steal property by entering through a channel, using a vehicle.’ Mr. ZHENGHONG was charged with being an alien who entered and resided in the Kingdom without permission. The evidence seized included a remote signal jammer, 3 mobile phones, 1 grey shoulder bag, 1 car key, and 1 car. While the police were searching the room of the Thai woman, Mr. ZHENGHONG’s girlfriend, who was found sitting in the car with him but fled, they found psychotropic substances (ketamine) in the room, but the woman was not found. The police immediately charged them with ‘possession of psychotropic substances (ketamine) without permission’ and will urgently investigate whether they are involved in this incident. In addition, it is expected that the group of suspects may have connections to the call center gang.
