Hanoi: The 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress officially commenced at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on the morning of December 27. The event, themed 'Emulation for innovation, acceleration, and breakthrough to usher the nation into an era of strength, civilisation, and prosperity,' aims to review the patriotic emulation movement and commendation efforts from the 2021-2025 period. It also seeks to propose and initiate the patriotic emulation movement for the upcoming 2026-2030 stage.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the congress is set to honor and recognize outstanding groups and individuals, heroes, exemplary emulators, and advanced models who embody the intellect, determination, dedication, and creativity of the Vietnamese people. A total of 2,223 delegates are attending the event, comprising 198 invited guests and 2,025 official delegates.
