13th ASEAN Para Games: Vietnam Makes Impressive Start with 8 Gold Medals


Hanoi: Vietnamese athletes with disabilities made an impressive start at the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, securing a total of eight gold medals on the opening day of official competition. By the end of the competition day, with eight gold, five silver, and six bronze medals, Vietnam temporarily ranks third on the medal table behind host Thailand and Indonesia.



According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnamese contingent delivered strong performances across various sporting events on the first day. Their achievements have set a positive tone for the remainder of the games, as athletes continue to compete in a range of disciplines.
