Hanoi: The 14th Party Central Committee convened its first meeting at the Party Central Committee's headquarters in Hanoi on the morning of January 23 to elect the Politburo, the General Secretary, the Secretariat, the Central Inspection Commission, and its Chairperson. The meeting resulted in the unanimous election of To Lam, who was the General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee, to continue serving in the role of General Secretary for the 14th Party Central Committee.
