Illegal liquor” cluster finds 2 more patients, total of 33, 4 deaths

Progress on the accumulated situation of patients who have been poisoned by methanol from drinking illegal liquor. The latest update this morning (27 August) is that there are 33 patients being treated in hospital, of which 4 have died.

Divided into 16 patients who are being treated at Nopparat Thani Hospital, 10 patients at Nawamin 9 Hospital, and 1 patient each at Seri Rak Hospital, Lerdsin Hospital, Nawamin Hospital, Kesomras Hospital, Ramkhamhaeng Hospital, Sirindhorn Hospital, Rajavithi Hospital, and Vejkarun Rasmi Hospital.

In terms of severity, 14 patients required intubation, 21 received dialysis, and 6 received CPR.
