Vietnam: Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery product exports brought home an estimated 35.88 billion USD in the first half of 2026, up 6% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. Export turnover in June alone stood at 6.34 billion USD, rising 3% from May and 10.1% from the same month last year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the growth in export turnover highlights the sector's resilience and potential for continued expansion. The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has been actively promoting sustainable practices and seeking new markets to boost the country's export figures. The consistent month-on-month increase in export turnover is part of a broader strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam's agricultural products on the global stage.
The ministry has been focusing on diversifying export markets and implementing quality improvement measures to sustain the growth momentum. The rise in exports is attributed to favorable weather conditions and governmental support for agricultural production, which have facilitated higher output and improved product quality. As the year progresses, the ministry remains optimistic about achieving its export targets and further strengthening Vietnam's position in the international agro-forestry-fishery market.
