An Giang Tourism Achieves Spectacular Breakthrough

Hanoi: An Giang's tourism sector continues to affirm its position as a leading tourism centre in the Mekong Delta region with a strong increase in visitor numbers and revenue, contributing to the development of other industries and increasing resources for the local economy. In the first six months of 2026, An Giang's tourism sector welcomed over 16.6 million visitors, an increase of 17.1% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 66.6% of the plan. Of these, international visitors accounted for over 1.34 million, an increase of 47.5%; total tourism revenue exceeded 39,280 billion VND, an increase of 34.4%, reaching over 56% of the plan. According to Vietnam News Agency, this remarkable growth in the tourism sector not only underscores An Giang's appeal as a prime destination but also significantly boosts the local economy. The increase in tourism revenue has facilitated the development of other sectors, thus enhancing the economic landscape of the region. The surge in international visitors highlights A n Giang's growing reputation on the global tourism map, attracting more investments and opportunities for the local community.
