An Giang:Preparations for the 2027 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting (APEC 2027) in the Phu Quoc special zone are anticipated to generate employment opportunities for young people in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang. These opportunities are expected to encourage youth to engage in startups and innovation, as discussed in a recent conference.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the provincial People's Committee organized a hybrid dialogue involving its Chairman Ho Van Mung and local youth. The dialogue focused on topics such as environmental protection, vocational training, employment, and the application and transfer of science and technology to promote socio-economic development.

The event aimed to enhance engagement between local authorities and the youth, assisting them in realizing their potential and transforming startup ideas into reality. Ho Van Mung, who also serves as Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, along with representatives from several departments and agencies, addressed the proposals of young people and took note of their recommendations for further consideration and action appropriate to local conditions.
