Cyber ??police arrest a wicked young man who claimed to be an official of the Electricity Authority and tricked people into returning their electricity deposits. He created a LINE account called “Electricity Authority Office” and sent a link to trick victims. Anyone who clicked on it would have their money siphoned off their accounts.

Pol. Col. Phichienyot Arunphanthakun, Superintendent of the Technology Crime Suppression Division 1, sent police officers with an arrest warrant to arrest Mr. Thanasak, 42, from Ayutthaya, on charges of ‘jointly committing theft by two or more persons, by fraud or deception, importing distorted or forged computer data into a computer system, in whole or in part, and opening or allowing others to use his deposit account, electronic card, or electronic money account without the intention of using it for himself or for his business. He was arrested in an alley in Pak Phriew Subdistrict, Mueang District, Saraburi Province.

For the behavior of this suspect, he will travel around d
eceiving the victim by calling to inform that there will be a 4-month deposit and that an officer from the Provincial Electricity Authority will contact him back. Later, there was a Line named “Electricity Authority Office” calling through the Line application to the victim and sending a link to install the application. If the victim believes it and clicks on the link, the phone will immediately become unusable. The phone screen will display the percentage of the installation on the mobile phone screen. Later, the perpetrator still contacts the victim through the Line application all the time until the installation is complete. Later, checking the money in the account found that it had all been transferred out. One person caused millions of baht in damages.
