Vientiane: Lao Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Phongsavan Sisoulat has underscored the significance of the ASEAN Future Forum 2026, touting Vietnam's role in bolstering the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)'s centrality and amplifying the bloc's voice for peace and stability across the region and beyond while speaking to Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reporters.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Phongsavan Sisoulat highlighted Vietnam's contributions to ASEAN, emphasizing its efforts in promoting regional cooperation and maintaining stability. He pointed out that the ASEAN Future Forum 2026 serves as a pivotal platform for member states to discuss and shape future strategies that align with the bloc's objectives. The forum also provides an opportunity to address regional challenges collectively.
Sisoulat further noted that Vietnam has consistently played a proactive role in ASEAN initiatives, enhancing the group's influence on the global stage.
