Nghe an: As many as 3,655 cartons of bottled water have been distributed to residents in storm-affected areas of the central province of Nghe An. This effort is part of a collaboration supported by international organizations and coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment along with the provincial People’s Committee. Further distributions are planned in the coming days to other flood-hit areas in western Nghe An, as reported by representatives from the aid agencies.
According to Vietnam News Agency, heavy rains and flash floods triggered by Storm Wipha have caused widespread damage across the province. This has disrupted the lives of thousands of households and created a shortage of clean water, directly affecting public health, sanitation, and daily living conditions. As of July 29, over 66,000 donations had been recorded by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee’s Nghe An chapter, amounting to 70 billion VND (2.7 million USD) in registered contributions.
