Australian Governor-General Begins State Visit To Vietnam

Hanoi: Australian Governor-General Sam Mostyn and her spouse arrived in Hanoi on the evening of September 9, marking the beginning of their state visit to Vietnam from September 9-12. The visit is taking place at the invitation of Vietnam’s State President Luong Cuong and his spouse. This visit coincides with a period of flourishing bilateral relations, especially following the elevation of the Vietnam-Australia relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in March 2024.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit underscores the strengthening ties between the two nations, highlighting the commitment to furthering diplomatic and economic collaborations. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership marks a significant milestone in Vietnam-Australia relations, emphasizing mutual interests and cooperation in various sectors.
