Da nang: The Royal Australian Navy ship HMAS Toowoomba, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Alicia Harrison, arrived at Tien Sa Port on March 28. This marks the beginning of a five-day friendly visit to the central city of Da Nang, highlighting the strengthening ties between Australia and Vietnam.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit will include a series of activities aimed at fostering goodwill and cooperation between the two nations. During their stay, the ship's officers are scheduled to make courtesy calls to the leaders of the municipal People's Committee and the Naval Region 3 Command. These engagements are expected to reinforce diplomatic relations and explore avenues for future collaboration.

In addition to official meetings, the officers will participate in professional exchanges and sports activities with their counterparts from the Vietnam People's Navy. Such interactions are designed to enhance mutual understanding and share expertise between the naval forces. Moreover, the crew will have the opportunity to interact with students from the University of Foreign Language Studies under the University of Da Nang, offering a platform for cultural exchange and learning.
