Bac ninh: A 100kg bomb with an intact fuse, believed to be a war remnant, has been discovered in a garden in northern Bac Ninh province, according to the provincial Military Command. The bomb, identified as an AN-M88 general-purpose bomb, was found on July 8 by a resident while levelling his garden in Mau Son hamlet, Luc Nam commune. The unexploded ordnance was buried about 50cm underground.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the local authorities have taken measures to ensure the safety of the area and its residents. A team of experts from the provincial Military Command is set to safely detonate the bomb to neutralize the potential threat. Residents in the vicinity have been informed and advised to maintain a safe distance during the detonation process.
