Binh Dinh: A sea turtle weighing approximately 12 kg was recently released back into the sea in the south-central province of Binh Dinh after being accidentally caught in the net of a local fishing vessel. The turtle belongs to the species Lepidochelys olivacea.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Lepidochelys olivacea is classified as an endangered species that requires urgent protection. The release of the turtle back into its natural habitat highlights ongoing conservation efforts in the region.
