Biometric Check-In Rolled Out at Tan Son Nhat International Airport

Ho chi minh city: A biometric identification and digital authentication system integrated with the VNeID application has officially begun operation at Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport. This new system is designed to streamline passenger procedures, covering processes from check-in to boarding.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the implementation of this system marks a significant advancement in the airport’s efforts to enhance efficiency and security. The integration of biometric technology aims to reduce the time passengers spend in queues, thereby improving the overall travel experience. The VNeID application plays a crucial role in this process, serving as the platform that supports the digital authentication required for the biometric system.

The introduction of this system is expected to benefit both passengers and airport staff by simplifying procedures and minimizing the potential for human error. By reducing manual checks, the airport can allocate resources more effectively and maintain smooth operations, even during peak travel times. The deployment of such technologies is part of a broader initiative to modernize airport facilities and improve service quality.
