BMTA reforms 107 routes starting July 25, 2024

Bangkok, Thai Smile Bus adds 389 buses to replace BMTA buses that have been reformed on 107 routes, starting July 25, 2024, emphasizing that it is not aware of the news that EA will sell shares to pay off debts. From 25 July 2024 onwards, BMTA will operate bus routes according to the bus reform plan in Bangkok and provinces with continuous routes to facilitate the public who use the full service on 107 routes as approved by the Central Land Transport Control Committee at the 7/2019 meeting on 5 July 2019. BMTA stated that it will continue to operate the (original) routes alongside the reformed routes that have been changed to facilitate users. It will stop operating the (original) routes from August 31, 2024 onwards and will open 10 new routes according to the reform plan, starting from July 25. (TSB), said that the company has prepared replacement buses for the BMTA, which will stop operating all 14 routes on July 25, 2024, with 389 buses prepared. Currently, there are 123 routes that TSB operates, with the BMTA running over 40 routes with TSB. The BMTA will gradually stop operating the overlapping routes and will stop operating all overlapping routes by August.
