Hanoi: The 2026 Summer-Autumn rice crop in Can Tho city recorded an output of more than 1.6 million tonnes. With the actual sown area exceeding 284,000 hectares, about 4% higher than the initial plan, the Summer-Autumn crop continued to remain stable, contributing to food supply security and improving production efficiency for farmers.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the increase in the sown area played an important role in achieving the impressive output. This achievement underscores the region's capability in sustaining agricultural productivity and enhancing food security.
