Hanoi: Amid geopolitical conflicts and policy changes in raw cashew-supplying countries, the Vietnam Cashew Association (Vinacas) forecasts a challenging 2026 and has set a target for Vietnam's cashew kernel exports of around 800,000 tonnes, worth about 5 billion USD. Vietnam's cashew industry recorded export turnover of about 5.5 billion USD in 2025, the highest level ever. According to Vietnam News Agency, the cashew sector in Vietnam is preparing to navigate significant challenges that lie ahead. The geopolitical landscape and evolving policies in countries supplying raw cashews are expected to impact the industry. Vinacas has responded by setting an ambitious export target for 2026, aiming to export 800,000 tonnes of cashew kernels valued at approximately 5 billion USD.
