Hanoi: A decision on the formation of the Central Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation was announced at a national conference held by the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat in Hanoi on January 13 morning. The committee aims to advance science and technology development, enhance innovation, and accelerate digital transformation across the nation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Politburo’s Decision No. 229, dated January 10, 2025, outlines the structure and leadership of the Steering Committee. It is chaired by Party General Secretary To Lam and comprises 19 members. The committee is tasked with leading and directing the implementation of strategic solutions to foster advancements in science and technology, promote innovation, and expedite the digital transformation agenda at a national level.
