Champa treasures exhibition opens in Hanoi

A thematic exhibition on the treasures of the Champa empire was opened at the Vietnam National Museum of History in Hanoi on August 28. The event was part of the activities celebrating the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2024). At the event, a repatriated bronze statue of Goddess Durga from the United Kingdoms (UK) was introduced along with the story of the efforts of the US, UK and Vietnam to retrieve the smuggled treasure.
