China-Vietnam Youth Forum Highlights ‘Red Gene’ Legacy

Shijiazhuang: A China-Vietnam youth forum themed 'Inheriting the red gene' was recently held in China, bringing together representatives from the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) Central Committee, authorities of Shijiazhuang city, and Vietnamese lecturers and students. The event was part of the red study tours programme launched by Party General Secretary To Lam, State President Luong Cuong, and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President of China Xi Jinping at the Vietnam-China People's Friendship Meeting in April last year.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the forum served as a platform for youth from both nations to engage in discussions centered on the historical ties and shared revolutionary heritage between China and Vietnam. The event underscored the importance of fostering understanding and cooperation among the younger generations of the two countries.

The programme, which was introduced at the Vietnam-China People's Friendship Meeting, aims to enhance the bilateral relationship by instilling a sense of shared history and values. By focusing on the 'red gene' legacy, the initiative seeks to strengthen the ideological foundations of the youth, encouraging them to contribute to the development of their respective countries.

The participation of representatives from the Communist Youth League of China and Vietnamese educators and students highlights the commitment from both sides to promote cultural exchange and mutual learning. The forum is expected to pave the way for further collaborative efforts in the future, reinforcing the strategic partnership between China and Vietnam.
